The University of Central Arkansas is a public university in Conway, Arkansas. Founded in 1907 as the Arkansas State Normal School, the university is one of the oldest in the U.S. state of Arkansas. The student-created website is named “The Fountain”, after the historic landmark located on the university’s campus. The Fountain merged with The Echo UCA’s oldest student media outlet in January 2014 to combine print and online resources. The Fountain Magazine was created following the merger.
